Jasi Kassami has worked over the last 10 years in the finance and banking sector in various capacities, starting at the Central Bank’s (Bank of Uganda) research department in 2011 before helping set up the Petroleum Investment Fund Department in 2014 in anticipation of Uganda’s oil. After that he went on to consultant at the East African Development Bank, working with their Economics department before setting up their monitoring and evaluation division and overseeing their portfolio department.

After consulting with the East African Development Bank, Jasi Kassami went into the private sector, consulting for private companies, family estates and individuals, helping them raise capital to grow their businesses, manage their existing resources and meet their financial obligations.

Through this passion, Kura Global Holdings was born and in a short period has helped multiple companies access cheap affordable capital, VC funding, scale their operations and even overcome the challenges/achieve success with the ongoing covid crisis.

With a well-established network and financial experience in Uganda, having worked with the lead regulator, regional development bank, various micro finance facilities and his experience across multiple sectors, Jasi Kassami along with Kura hope to help foreign firms navigate their way in the domestic market, find local partners and help local companies and individuals attain financial success.
