Kura Alliance Ltd is a diversified holdings company based in Kampala. We acquire, build and hold businesses across seven sectors of the Ugandan economy — from a resort on Lake Victoria to a licensed fund manager, a Cambridge-accredited college and a microfinance arm.
KURA means to grow in several Bantu languages. We take long positions in Ugandan businesses and stay in them. Our companies keep their own names, their own teams and their own customers; what they share is a balance sheet, a standard, and a patient owner.
Kura Alliance Ltd was founded in 2024, as the holding company for businesses the group had already been building for years.

Led from the centre, run by the businesses
Kura Alliance is led by its founder and chief executive, working alongside a small group-level team. The companies keep their own management; what sits at the centre is the capital, the standard and the people who hold both.
Jasi Kassami
Founder & CEO
Jasi Kassami brings more than ten years of experience across finance, banking and investment in Uganda. He began his career in 2011 at the Bank of Uganda's Research Department, before helping establish the Petroleum Investment Fund Department in 2014 in anticipation of Uganda's oil sector growth. He then consulted for the East African Development Bank, where he worked in the Economics Department, set up its Monitoring & Evaluation division, and oversaw its Portfolio Department. Following his time at EADB, Jasi founded Kura Alliance, a holdings company with interests across finance, real estate, education, media and advertising. He currently sits on the boards of several companies within the group.
Meran Ninsiima
Business Administrator
Meran Ninsiima has spent over seven years in operations and administrative management, across consulting firms, startups and international-facing businesses. Her work spans administrative coordination, budget tracking, stakeholder management and marketing — initiating and following up the processes that keep a multi-sector group running. Working alongside the chief executive across the group, she supports governance and compliance, coordinates events and training, and holds the reporting standard the portfolio is run to.
George Senkatuka
Head of Business Management
George Senkatuka graduated with honours in Information Technology from Makerere University before joining Airtel Uganda. He moved into the startup world at Quicket Uganda, becoming its Operations Manager as it grew into Uganda's largest event ticketing platform. He now oversees business management across the Kura portfolio.
