Who controls your data

This website is operated by Kura Alliance Ltd, Plot 130 Spring Road, Bugolobi, Kampala, Uganda. Kura Alliance Ltd is the data controller for any personal data collected through it.

The companies Kura Alliance holds run their own websites and their own customer relationships. This policy covers this site only. Where a link takes you to one of those companies, their own privacy policy applies from that point.

What this site collects

Nothing you type. This site has no enquiry form, no login, no newsletter sign-up and no comment facility. There is no field on it that sends us your data.

Where a page invites you to get in touch, it opens your own email application or dialler through a mailto: or tel: link. The message or call goes through your own provider, and reaches us the way any other email or call does — not through this website.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags, no social media pixels and no embedded third-party content. You will not see a cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to.

Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered by our hosting provider, which records ordinary technical information each time a page is requested — the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser and device type. This is standard server logging, kept by the provider to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. It is not used by Kura Alliance Ltd to build a profile of you and is not combined with any other information about you.

Links to other sites

This site links out to the websites of companies in the group and, on the contact page, to a mapping service for directions. Following any of those links takes you to a service we do not control, with its own privacy practices. We are not responsible for what those sites do with your data.

Your rights

Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 gives you rights over personal data held about you — to know what is held, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to ask for it to be deleted, and to object to how it is used. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Office.

Because this site collects nothing you type, a request about data held through it will usually have nothing to return. If you have written to us or otherwise dealt with Kura Alliance Ltd, write to the address below and we will tell you what we hold and act on your request.

Changes to this policy

If we add anything to this site that collects data — an enquiry form, analytics, an embedded map — this page is updated in the same change that adds it, saying exactly what is collected, where it goes and how long it is kept. The date at the top tells you when this policy last changed.
